Video for Linux

You can view video or TV if you have appropriate hardware and drivers. Overlay is supported, but you cannot do video capture or play DVDs.

We tested this capability using an ATI All-in-Wonder Rage 128 card.

1. Visit http://www.linuxvideo.org/gatos and download the ``Latest binaries of ati.2 driver for XFree 4.0.3''.

2. Unzip and untar ATI-4.0.3.i386.tar.gz; then run the program.

3. Download the xawtv application from http://www.bytesex.org/xawtv/ and follow the instructions given there.
